Queensland Learner Logbook App
The Queensland Learner Logbook app is a new app to help you log your driving hours, available from The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).
It’s a total digital conversion of the existing paper logbook system. It captures, stores, and submits your logbook hours directly to TMR – no need to print and post your logs.
The app was launched on the 25th of May 2016. It can be downloaded for free from Google Play and the App Store if you search for ‘QLD Learner Logbook’.
There is a new process that must be followed by driver trainers to approve trips where the app is in use. Trainers or supervising drivers don’t need to download the app – they will receive an email where they can approve or reject the trip. The paper logbook will continue to be a valid method, approved by TMR.
You can convert your physically recorded trips to the app by creating new entries for past trips. You can also submit both digital and paper logbooks. Your data is stored securely by TMR. It can be retrieved on an iphone or tablet and by logging into the app.
If this sounds like a more convenient option for you, you can find out more here, or you can phone TMR on 132380.
