Driving Lessons
Online Lessons
One of the most convenient and affordable ways to get driving education is online. There are a variety of driver’s education courses available. These are susceptible to the approval of the relevant government authority. Sometimes car insurance agencies offer discounts to students who have completed a driver’s education program. Parents can be involved in the administering of online driving education. The relation between online activity and driver’s licence holding has been the focus of many recent studies.
Hazard perception can be increased from the completion of online courses. This is a key to reducing the risk of a crash. Recent studies have shown that people who failed the hazard perception test were 25% more likely to be involved in a crash, and were 17% more likely to have been involved in a crash in the past.
Getting Your Licence
Many agencies require successful completion of a driver’s education course to receive your learner’s permit or licence. In certain countries, students who are taking driver’s education are afforded the opportunity to receive a waiver for successful course completion. This allows them to receive a learner’s permit or licence without taking some tests.
High Speed Driving
Certain car clubs hold driving education programs that are aimed at handling a car under high-speed driving conditions rather than learning the road rules. These programs take place at road racing tracks and involve both driving and classroom instruction. In these programs, an experienced instructor accompanies the student until they are signed off. The student can then continue improving their skills and practicing without an instructor. This involves multiple cars on a racetrack, but it is not considered a race as they are not timed, no winner is declared, and no passing is allowed without the driver being passed giving a hand signal. Approved racing helmets are required, as are roll bars for convertibles. Some courses require long pants and long-sleeved shirts for fire protection. They do not, however, require fire-resistant racing suits, fire extinguishers, five or six point seat belts, or full roll cages.
